Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £165,444. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £134,574, while detached properties fetched £295,872.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £184,526, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£184,966), but was more expensive than North East (£158,938) and cheaper than East Midlands (£199,914). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£231,449) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£157,785).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 11% up on 2014 when the average house price was £166,195.
