Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £167,073. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £135,278, while detached properties fetched £299,884.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £186,478, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£187,772), but was more expensive than North East (£159,404) and cheaper than East Midlands (£202,683). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£231,599) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£160,739).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 7% up on 2015 when the average house price was £173,870.
