House Prices in Yorkshire and the Humber

Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £142,968. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £117,307, while detached properties fetched £253,928.

Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £157,632, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£156,147) and East Midlands (£160,701), but was more expensive than North East (£141,404). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£196,088) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£139,099).

During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were similar to the previous year and similar to 2010 when the average house price was £161,167.
