Last year most property sales in Yorkshire and the Humber involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £166,646. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £134,541, while detached properties fetched £298,977.
Yorkshire and the Humber, with an overall average price of £185,566, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby North West (£186,777), but was more expensive than North East (£159,263) and cheaper than East Midlands (£201,617). The priciest area within Yorkshire and the Humber was North Yorkshire (£231,433) and the least expensive was South Yorkshire (£159,675).
During the last year, sold prices in Yorkshire and the Humber were 3% up on the previous year and 7% up on 2015 when the average house price was £173,865.
