Ambleside, with an overall average price of £303,830 was more expensive than nearby Lake District (£233,127), but was cheaper than Grasmere (£691,438) and Windermere (£376,299).
During the last year, sold prices in Ambleside were 4% down on the previous year and 9% down on 2010 when the average house price was £333,858.
