Last year most property sales in Bitterne involved detached properties which sold for on average £287,693. Flats sold for an average price of £140,909, while semi-detached properties fetched £241,743.

Bitterne, with an overall average price of £225,051, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Bitterne Park (£228,510) and Southampton (£225,543), but was more expensive than Sholing (£207,184).

During the last year, sold prices in Bitterne were 7% up on the previous year and 21% up on 2014 when the average house price was £186,173.
