Last year most property sales in Brighton involved detached properties which sold for on average £279,095. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £154,529, while semi-detached properties fetched £178,804.
Brighton, with an overall average price of £211,449, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Probus (£217,743), but was cheaper than Truro (£241,381) and Mevagissey (£268,289).
During the last year, sold prices in Brighton were similar to the previous year and 11% down on 2007 when the average house price was £237,487.
