Most of the sales in Central London over the past year were flats which on average sold for £1,151,701. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £3,920,946 and detached properties averaged at £1,637,485.
Central London, with an overall average price of £1,353,719 was more expensive than nearby West London (£1,133,264), South West London (£656,905) and North London (£642,729). The most expensive area within Central London was Westminster (£1,432,251) and the cheapest was City Of London (£917,804).
In the past year house prices in Central London were 6% down on the year before and 21% up on 2012 when they averaged at £1,121,417.
