Most of the sales in Central London over the past year were flats which on average sold for £1,233,289. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £3,880,554 and detached properties averaged at £1,447,750.
Central London, with an overall average price of £1,419,537 was more expensive than nearby West London (£1,155,218), South West London (£642,823) and North London (£637,220). The most expensive area within Central London was Westminster (£1,483,819) and the cheapest was City Of London (£884,622).
In the past year house prices in Central London were 7% up on the year before and 27% up on 2012 when they averaged at £1,121,417.
