Last year most property sales in Chigwell involved terraced properties which sold for on average £424,350. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £495,421, while flats fetched £354,407.
Chigwell, with an overall average price of £546,789 was more expensive than nearby Chigwell Row (£496,438) and Abridge (£474,125), but was cheaper than Buckhurst Hill (£580,560).
During the last year, sold prices in Chigwell were 11% up on the previous year and 37% up on 2014 when the average house price was £399,245.
