Most of the sales in Crook over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £77,446. Detached properties had an average sold price of £177,790 and semi-detached properties averaged at £95,458.

Crook, with an overall average price of £109,111, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Bishop Auckland (£103,681), but was cheaper than Spennymoor (£126,864) and Wolsingham (£198,144).

In the past year house prices in Crook were similar to the year before and 8% down on 2006 when they averaged at £118,350.
