Most of the sales in Crook over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £77,324. Detached properties had an average sold price of £162,565 and semi-detached properties averaged at £104,684.
Crook, with an overall average price of £108,408 was more expensive than nearby Bishop Auckland (£98,138), but was cheaper than Spennymoor (£127,996) and Wolsingham (£204,366).
In the past year house prices in Crook were 3% up on the year before and 8% down on 2006 when they averaged at £118,067.
