Most of the sales in Dawlish over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £315,704. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £196,590 and semi-detached properties averaged at £222,912.
Dawlish, with an overall average price of £234,933, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Teignmouth (£246,211), but was more expensive than Starcross (£200,283) and cheaper than Bishopsteignton (£347,957).
In the past year house prices in Dawlish were 8% up on the year before and 15% up on 2013 when they averaged at £204,821.
