Most of the sales in Downham Market over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £211,243. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £165,354 and terraced properties averaged at £146,049.
Downham Market, with an overall average price of £179,312, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Watlington (£178,050), but was cheaper than Denver (£234,099) and Stoke Ferry (£196,997).
In the past year house prices in Downham Market were 8% up on the year before and 7% up on 2008 when they averaged at £167,542.
