Most of the sales in Ferndown over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £455,677. Flats had an average sold price of £198,783 and semi-detached properties averaged at £273,523.
Ferndown, with an overall average price of £351,427, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Colehill (£361,704), but was more expensive than West Moors (£312,288) and cheaper than Wimborne (£377,331).
In the past year house prices in Ferndown were 5% up on the year before and 17% up on 2008 when they averaged at £299,094.
