Most of the sales in Filey over the past year were flats which on average sold for £107,602. Detached properties had an average sold price of £226,989 and semi-detached properties averaged at £145,615.
Filey, with an overall average price of £154,044, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Scarborough (£151,203), but was cheaper than Thornton Dale (£270,479) and Robin Hoods Bay (£275,060).
In the past year house prices in Filey were 8% up on the year before and 3% down on 2008 when they averaged at £158,921.
