Most of the sales in Forest Gate over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £354,874. Flats had an average sold price of £205,745 and semi-detached properties averaged at £521,222.
Forest Gate, with an overall average price of £304,068 was more expensive than nearby Upton (£272,997) and Upton Park (£259,439), but was cheaper than Stratford Village (£321,325).
In the past year house prices in Forest Gate were 18% up on the year before and 32% up on 2007 when they averaged at £231,006.
