Last year most property sales in Halton involved detached properties which sold for on average £289,321. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £204,625, while semi-detached properties fetched £174,656.
Halton, with an overall average price of £227,219, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Bolton Le Sands (£234,988), but was more expensive than Caton (£204,714) and cheaper than Hest Bank (£297,924).
During the last year, sold prices in Halton were 15% up on the previous year and 11% down on 2008 when the average house price was £255,239.
