Most of the sales in Hartlepool over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £75,115. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £125,700 and detached properties averaged at £211,474.
Hartlepool, with an overall average price of £121,266 was cheaper than nearby Wolviston (£323,136), Wynyard Estate (£269,452) and Billingham (£162,176).
In the past year house prices in Hartlepool were 5% down on the year before and similar to 2013 when they averaged at £123,053.
