Most of the sales in Hawes over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £253,800. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £297,333 and detached properties averaged at £352,500.
Hawes, with an overall average price of £285,273 was more expensive than nearby Yorkshire Dales (£252,254), Reeth (£216,917) and Leyburn (£213,832).
In the past year house prices in Hawes were 58% up on the year before and 10% up on 2007 when they averaged at £258,780.
