The majority of sales in Helmsley during the last year were detached properties, selling for an average price of £360,375. Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £242,250, with terraced properties fetching £272,750.
Helmsley, with an overall average price of £275,898, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Easingwold (£277,370), but was more expensive than Kirkbymoorside (£207,398) and cheaper than Osmotherley (£327,705).
Overall sold prices in Helmsley over the last year were similar to the previous year and 6% down on the 2007 level of £293,717.
