Most of the sales in Jarrow over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £117,138. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £108,817 and flats averaged at £59,289.
Jarrow, with an overall average price of £109,540 was cheaper than nearby Hebburn (£126,511), Boldon Colliery (£146,632) and Boldon (£167,203).
In the past year house prices in Jarrow were 3% down on the year before and 9% down on 2007 when they averaged at £120,135.
