Most of the sales in Kendal over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £188,325. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £193,755 and flats averaged at £125,127.
Kendal, with an overall average price of £196,795 was cheaper than nearby Milnthorpe (£207,082), Bowness-On-Windermere (£286,844) and Windermere (£331,341).
In the past year house prices in Kendal were 6% up on the year before and similar to 2008 when they averaged at £192,146.
