Most of the sales in Kendal over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £176,555. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £205,297 and detached properties averaged at £315,745.
Kendal, with an overall average price of £207,688 was more expensive than nearby Milnthorpe (£180,362), but was cheaper than Windermere (£333,789) and Bowness-On-Windermere (£318,689).
In the past year house prices in Kendal were 7% up on the year before and 8% up on 2008 when they averaged at £192,146.
