Most of the sales in Kendal over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £172,483. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £206,068 and detached properties averaged at £299,358.
Kendal, with an overall average price of £201,037 was more expensive than nearby Milnthorpe (£172,825), but was cheaper than Windermere (£311,493) and Bowness-On-Windermere (£305,535).
In the past year house prices in Kendal were 4% up on the year before and 5% up on 2008 when they averaged at £192,146.
