Most of the sales in Kendal over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £175,751. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £207,036 and detached properties averaged at £304,091.
Kendal, with an overall average price of £200,386 was more expensive than nearby Milnthorpe (£187,832), but was cheaper than Windermere (£315,095) and Bowness-On-Windermere (£308,493).
In the past year house prices in Kendal were 5% up on the year before and 4% up on 2008 when they averaged at £192,146.
