Most of the sales in Knottingley over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £109,921. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £92,319 and detached properties averaged at £155,447.
Knottingley, with an overall average price of £114,057 was cheaper than nearby Hambleton (£202,510), Sherburn In Elmet (£212,150) and Thorpe Willoughby (£212,687).
In the past year house prices in Knottingley were 4% up on the year before and 4% down on 2008 when they averaged at £118,750.
