Most of the sales in Lancaster over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £131,024. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £158,122 and flats averaged at £112,392.
Lancaster, with an overall average price of £151,331 was more expensive than nearby Morecambe (£129,194) and Galgate (£133,173), but was cheaper than Bare (£165,169).
In the past year house prices in Lancaster were 5% up on the year before and similar to 2010 when they averaged at £148,989.
