Last year most property sales in Melbourne involved terraced properties which sold for on average £167,569. Detached properties sold for an average price of £319,013, while semi-detached properties fetched £213,093.
Melbourne, with an overall average price of £223,416, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Breedon-On-The-Hill (£231,453) and Weston-On-Trent (£219,434), but was cheaper than Ticknall (£367,490).
During the last year, sold prices in Melbourne were 12% down on the previous year and 7% down on 2012 when the average house price was £239,347.
