Last year most property sales in Neath involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £122,769. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £91,302, while detached properties fetched £190,276.

Neath, with an overall average price of £127,993 was more expensive than nearby Briton Ferry (£79,516), but was cheaper than Neath Abbey (£152,372) and Waunceirch (£153,038).

During the last year, sold prices in Neath were 4% down on the previous year and 3% down on 2014 when the average house price was £132,250.
