Last year most property sales in Neath involved terraced properties which sold for on average £91,934. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £120,200, while detached properties fetched £203,617.
Neath, with an overall average price of £130,647 was more expensive than nearby Neath Abbey (£117,884) and Briton Ferry (£94,083), but was cheaper than Waunceirch (£161,804).
During the last year, sold prices in Neath were similar to the previous year and 3% up on 2007 when the average house price was £127,167.
