Last year most property sales in Neath involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £120,721. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £90,288, while detached properties fetched £200,224.
Neath, with an overall average price of £131,231 was more expensive than nearby Neath Abbey (£118,899) and Briton Ferry (£92,753), but was cheaper than Waunceirch (£163,222).
During the last year, sold prices in Neath were similar to the previous year and 3% up on 2007 when the average house price was £127,167.
