Newburgh, with an overall average price of £256,060 was more expensive than nearby Appley Bridge (£199,886) and Shevington (£182,604), but was cheaper than Wrightington (£297,031).
In the past year house prices in Newburgh were 10% up on the year before and 13% down on 2004 when they averaged at £295,000.
