Last year most property sales in Ongar involved flats which sold for on average £191,739. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £396,591, while semi-detached properties fetched £403,407.
Ongar, with an overall average price of £383,933, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Chipping Ongar (£366,469), but was cheaper than Fyfield (£524,439) and Kelvedon Hatch (£467,264).
During the last year, sold prices in Ongar were 14% up on the previous year and 16% up on 2014 when the average house price was £331,568.
