Ongar, with an overall average price of £335,313 was cheaper than nearby Chipping Ongar (£357,219), Fyfield (£405,600) and Kelvedon Hatch (£379,619).
During the last year, sold prices in Ongar were 3% up on the previous year and similar to 2011 when the average house price was £330,365.
