Last year most property sales in Ongar involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £383,035. Flats sold for an average price of £185,356, while terraced properties fetched £374,379.
Ongar, with an overall average price of £341,460 was cheaper than nearby Chipping Ongar (£373,936), Fyfield (£699,059) and Kelvedon Hatch (£366,878).
During the last year, sold prices in Ongar were similar to the previous year and 3% up on 2011 when the average house price was £330,365.
