Last year most property sales in Ongar involved terraced properties which sold for on average £351,019. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £380,472, while flats fetched £173,953.
Ongar, with an overall average price of £344,844, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Chipping Ongar (£357,150) and Kelvedon Hatch (£361,478), but was cheaper than Fyfield (£726,250).
During the last year, sold prices in Ongar were similar to the previous year and 4% up on 2011 when the average house price was £330,365.
