Last year most property sales in Ongar involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £308,563. Flats sold for an average price of £194,336, while detached properties fetched £600,103.
Ongar, with an overall average price of £342,034, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Chipping Ongar (£356,710), but was cheaper than Fyfield (£402,231) and Kelvedon Hatch (£363,620).
During the last year, sold prices in Ongar were 9% up on the previous year and 4% up on 2011 when the average house price was £330,365.
