Last year most property sales in Poplar involved flats which sold for on average £471,542. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £715,110, while detached properties fetched £1,275,000.

Poplar, with an overall average price of £478,296, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Lansbury (£484,334) and Limehouse (£475,247), but was cheaper than Blackwall (£512,831).

During the last year, sold prices in Poplar were 6% up on the previous year and 15% up on 2014 when the average house price was £415,790.
