Most of the sales in Porthcawl over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £291,352. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £199,171 and terraced properties averaged at £160,515.

Porthcawl, with an overall average price of £224,321, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Nottage (£229,469), but was more expensive than South Cornelly (£114,063) and cheaper than Newton (£239,402).

In the past year house prices in Porthcawl were similar to the year before and 7% up on 2014 when they averaged at £208,732.
