Last year most property sales in Prescot involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £149,297. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £88,594, while detached properties fetched £252,468.
Prescot, with an overall average price of £142,409 was more expensive than nearby Whiston (£118,593) and West Park (£105,947), but was cheaper than Rainhill (£185,331).
During the last year, sold prices in Prescot were 11% up on the previous year and similar to 2006 when the average house price was £145,525.
