Last year most property sales in Preston involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £150,933. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £97,623, while detached properties fetched £237,888.
Preston, with an overall average price of £145,144 was more expensive than nearby Ashton-On-Ribble (£119,742), but was cheaper than Penwortham (£178,727) and Fulwood (£175,639).
During the last year, sold prices in Preston were similar to the previous year and 3% down on 2007 when the average house price was £150,173.
