Last year most property sales in Redcar involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £118,369. Detached properties sold for an average price of £181,553, while terraced properties fetched £95,448.
Redcar, with an overall average price of £127,786 was cheaper than nearby Marske-By-The-Sea (£136,536), Saltburn-By-The-Sea (£180,772) and Guisborough (£158,989).
During the last year, sold prices in Redcar were similar to the previous year and 5% down on 2007 when the average house price was £133,968.
