Most of the sales in Royston over the past year were flats which on average sold for £152,920. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £268,000 and semi-detached properties averaged at £292,403.
Royston, with an overall average price of £280,059, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Bassingbourn (£288,273), but was cheaper than Meldreth (£559,599) and Steeple Morden (£451,636).
In the past year house prices in Royston were 3% up on the year before and 11% up on 2013 when they averaged at £251,625.
