Most of the sales in Rye over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £251,581. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £238,050 and detached properties averaged at £417,750.
Rye, with an overall average price of £269,810 was more expensive than nearby Camber (£221,776), but was cheaper than Winchelsea (£346,538) and Northiam (£368,542).
In the past year house prices in Rye were 10% up on the year before and 7% up on 2012 when they averaged at £253,047.
