Most of the sales in Shirley over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £498,818. Flats had an average sold price of £324,352 and terraced properties averaged at £442,093.
Shirley, with an overall average price of £455,895, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Upper Shirley (£447,327), but was more expensive than Croydon (£364,714) and Addiscombe (£376,059).
In the past year house prices in Shirley were 21% up on the year before and 21% up on 2015 when they averaged at £376,421.
