Most of the sales in Shirley over the past year were flats which on average sold for £257,873. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £508,064 and terraced properties averaged at £408,758.
Shirley, with an overall average price of £370,924, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Addiscombe (£375,252), but was more expensive than Upper Shirley (£323,947) and Croydon (£332,711).
In the past year house prices in Shirley were 5% down on the year before and 4% up on 2014 when they averaged at £357,684.
