Last year most property sales in South London involved flats which sold for on average £359,368. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £498,584, while semi-detached properties fetched £520,176.
South London, with an overall average price of £448,351, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby South East London (£428,530), but was cheaper than South West London (£648,872) and Central London (£1,411,905). The priciest area within South London was Lambeth (£550,813) and the least expensive was Croydon (£327,839).
During the last year, sold prices in South London were 6% up on the previous year and 14% up on 2010 when the average house price was £394,732.
