Last year most property sales in South London involved flats which sold for on average £355,090. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £493,753, while semi-detached properties fetched £514,122.
South London, with an overall average price of £442,457 was more expensive than nearby South East London (£419,115), but was cheaper than South West London (£643,561) and Central London (£1,484,895). The priciest area within South London was Lambeth (£534,878) and the least expensive was Croydon (£318,520).
During the last year, sold prices in South London were 8% up on the previous year and 12% up on 2010 when the average house price was £394,732.
