Last year most property sales in Southsea involved terraced properties which sold for on average £261,666. Flats sold for an average price of £187,908, while semi-detached properties fetched £395,645.
Southsea, with an overall average price of £246,560 was more expensive than nearby North End (£190,284), but was cheaper than Old Portsmouth (£281,372) and Gunwharf Quays (£321,529).
During the last year, sold prices in Southsea were 9% up on the previous year and 18% up on 2015 when the average house price was £209,282.
