Last year most property sales in St. Albans involved flats which sold for on average £259,895. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £412,386, while semi-detached properties fetched £531,446.
St. Albans, with an overall average price of £446,330, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Park Street (£432,351) and Chiswell Green (£458,480), but was more expensive than Sandridge (£366,689).
During the last year, sold prices in St. Albans were 14% up on the previous year and 15% up on 2012 when the average house price was £386,457.
