The majority of sales in Stanhope during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £99,636. Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £86,333, with flats fetching £151,500.
Stanhope, with an overall average price of £111,647, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Crook (£107,354), but was cheaper than Wolsingham (£212,257) and Consett (£124,078).
Overall sold prices in Stanhope over the last year were 20% down on the previous year and 33% down on the 2006 level of £166,218.
