Most of the sales in Surrey over the past year were flats which on average sold for £294,759. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £438,791 and semi-detached properties averaged at £471,102.
Surrey, with an overall average price of £451,074 was more expensive than nearby West Sussex (£311,218), Berkshire (£346,283) and East Sussex (£291,153). The most expensive area within Surrey was Wentworth (£2,053,987) and the cheapest was Stanwell (£252,320).
In the past year house prices in Surrey were 8% up on the year before and 18% up on 2012 when they averaged at £381,964.
