Most of the sales in Surrey over the past year were flats which on average sold for £316,287. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £476,832 and semi-detached properties averaged at £504,536.
Surrey, with an overall average price of £483,695 was more expensive than nearby West Sussex (£329,515), Berkshire (£378,136) and East Sussex (£305,407). The most expensive area within Surrey was Wentworth (£1,697,300) and the cheapest was Stanwell (£277,059).
In the past year house prices in Surrey were 8% up on the year before and 20% up on 2013 when they averaged at £403,122.
