Most of the sales in Surrey over the past year were flats which on average sold for £285,322. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £435,877 and semi-detached properties averaged at £461,962.
Surrey, with an overall average price of £444,390 was more expensive than nearby West Sussex (£304,737), Berkshire (£335,225) and East Sussex (£287,208). The most expensive area within Surrey was Wentworth (£1,861,097) and the cheapest was Stanwell (£244,622).
In the past year house prices in Surrey were 9% up on the year before and 16% up on 2012 when they averaged at £381,952.
