Most of the sales in Swinley over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £173,155. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £140,022 and flats averaged at £83,500.
Swinley, with an overall average price of £156,668, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Aspull (£161,960), but was more expensive than Wigan (£129,400) and cheaper than Standish (£195,006).
In the past year house prices in Swinley were 3% up on the year before and 4% up on 2007 when they averaged at £150,280.
