Last year most property sales in Thirsk involved terraced properties which sold for on average £157,950. Detached properties sold for an average price of £274,790, while semi-detached properties fetched £180,564.
Thirsk, with an overall average price of £197,914, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Ripon (£204,630) and Bedale (£195,789), but was cheaper than Boroughbridge (£251,009).
During the last year, sold prices in Thirsk were 3% up on the previous year and similar to 2007 when the average house price was £198,320.
