Last year most property sales in Tonyrefail involved detached properties which sold for on average £206,991. Semi-detached properties sold for an average price of £117,587, while terraced properties fetched £112,663.
Tonyrefail, with an overall average price of £147,369 was more expensive than nearby Gilfach Goch (£97,466), Porth (£83,864) and Brynna (£130,660).
During the last year, sold prices in Tonyrefail were 16% up on the previous year and 11% up on 2012 when the average house price was £132,331.
