Most of the sales in Westhoughton over the past year were terraced properties which on average sold for £121,574. Detached properties had an average sold price of £244,547 and semi-detached properties averaged at £142,574.
Westhoughton, with an overall average price of £165,827 was more expensive than nearby Hindley Green (£133,169) and Hindley (£127,112), but was cheaper than Lostock (£270,830).
In the past year house prices in Westhoughton were 10% up on the year before and 8% up on 2007 when they averaged at £153,536.
