Most of the sales in Whitstable over the past year were detached properties which on average sold for £372,455. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £264,140 and terraced properties averaged at £270,170.
Whitstable, with an overall average price of £287,714, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Tankerton (£297,997), but was cheaper than Chestfield (£338,148) and Blean (£320,615).
In the past year house prices in Whitstable were 10% up on the year before and 12% up on 2010 when they averaged at £257,047.
