Last year most property sales in Widnes involved detached properties which sold for on average £253,007. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £95,077, while semi-detached properties fetched £141,578.
Widnes, with an overall average price of £165,369 was more expensive than nearby Sandymoor (£146,757) and Runcorn (£122,290), but was cheaper than Cronton (£290,218).
During the last year, sold prices in Widnes were 5% up on the previous year and 11% up on 2010 when the average house price was £148,377.
