Last year most property sales in Widnes involved detached properties which sold for on average £250,869. Terraced properties sold for an average price of £94,287, while semi-detached properties fetched £140,653.
Widnes, with an overall average price of £161,424 was more expensive than nearby Sandymoor (£144,839) and Runcorn (£122,092), but was cheaper than Cronton (£272,906).
During the last year, sold prices in Widnes were 4% up on the previous year and 9% up on 2010 when the average house price was £148,377.
