Most of the sales in Wigston over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £150,627. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £117,231 and detached properties averaged at £218,980.
Wigston, with an overall average price of £150,526, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Glen Parva (£150,393), but was more expensive than Aylestone (£128,383) and cheaper than Knighton (£216,565).
In the past year house prices in Wigston were 9% up on the year before and similar to 2007 when they averaged at £150,611.
