Most of the sales in Wigston over the past year were semi-detached properties which on average sold for £151,665. Terraced properties had an average sold price of £118,749 and detached properties averaged at £229,022.
Wigston, with an overall average price of £153,526, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Glen Parva (£151,670), but was more expensive than Aylestone (£128,889) and cheaper than Knighton (£219,617).
In the past year house prices in Wigston were 11% up on the year before and similar to 2007 when they averaged at £150,611.
